Ustanovitelj Začasnega slovenskega plesnega arhiva (2012), Rok Vevar, se v zadnjih letih intenzivno ukvarja z zgodovinskim pregledom razvoja plesa na Slovenskem in ustvarja lastni dokumentarni in avdiovizualni arhiv. Gradivo se pretežno osredotoča na sodobne scenske umetnosti, ples in gledališče zunaj institucionalne scene v zadnjih dvajsetih letih. Vsebuje obsežno zbirko časopisnih izrezkov, kataloge plesnih festivalov, kartoteke plesalk/plesalcev in koreografinj/koreografov, del fotografske zapuščine Božidarja Dolenca s področja gledališča in plesa in druga fotografska gradiva, plesne filme, posnetke predstav in dokumentarne filme. Materiali so na voljo predvsem za študijsko rabo.
Začasni slovenski plesni arhiv vsebuje donacije iz arhiva Neje Kos, dediščino Ksenije Hribar, zbirke video dokumentov s predstav Mateje Bučar, gledališke liste Opere in baleta SNG Ljubljana iz obdobja Pie in Pina Mlakarja (1946–1958; donacija podvajajočih se gradiv SGM), donacijo Karle Železnik, donacijo podvajajočih se DVD ploščkov iz arhiva Zavoda Bunker, donacijo Maske in Exodosa (posamezni kosi ob selitvi Exodosa 2003), donacijo Društva za sodobni ples, zasebno zbirko gradiv in knjižnico Roka Vevarja.
Rok Vevar je arhiv odprl za javnost na svojem domu na Celovški 125 v Ljubljani, kjer se je javnost lahko dvakrat tedensko ali po dogovoru zglasila na ogled gradiva. Namesto članarine so se uporabniki zavezali, da bodo uporabljeno gradivo poskenirali v skladu z arhivskimi standardi.
Začasni slovenski plesni arhiv je bil marca 2018 prenesen v varovanje v prvo nadstropje Muzeja sodobne umetnosti Metelkova, kjer Rok Vevar uprizarja živi arhiv v trajanju. Postopek arhiviranja – od zbiranja do sistematizacije in javne dostopnosti – je viden. Začasni slovenski plesni arhiv tako postane performativna časovnospecifična in situ instalacija, ki prikaže arhiv kot časovno razvijajočo se, nikoli zaključeno tvorbo. Arhivar kot posameznik vstopa v institucionalni okvir, v katerem ima prostorsko in materialno podporo, hkrati pa ohranja samostojnost.

Rok Vevar, the founder of the Temporary Slovene Dance Archive (2012) has dedicated a great deal of time and effort to creating an historical overview of the development of dance in Slovenia, in the process compiling his own documentary and audiovisual archive. Most of the material concerns contemporary scenic arts, dance and theater of the non-institutional scene over the past 20 years. The archive is comprised of a massive collection of newspaper clippings, dance festival catalogues, a register of Slovene dancers and choreographers, part of Božidar Dolenc’s photographic legacy covering dance and theater, other photographic material, dance films, footage of performances, and documentary films. The material is available primarily for the purpose of study.

S(V)ODOBNOST
(Slo)
V projektu S(v)odobnost je pet organizacij s področja sodobne umetnosti razvijalo programe kulturno-umetnostne vzgoje, namenjene mladim med 14. in 20. letom starosti. Sodelujoča društva in zavod so s projektom nagovarjali tudi pedagoško osebje, ki želi svojim učenkam in učencem približati sodobne umetniške prakse ter prostore, v katerih je te prakse mogoče izkusiti.
Prepričani smo, da sodobna umetnost širi obzorja in spodbuja ustvarjalni izraz mladih, učiteljicam in učiteljem pa nudi celo vrsto svežih pristopov k obravnavi perečih družbenih vprašanj – tako v učilnici kot zunaj nje.
Želimo si, da bi se mladi lahko redno srečevali s sodobno umetnostjo, zato si v okviru projekta S(v)odobnost dolgoročno prizadevamo za to, da bi kulturno-umetnostna vzgoja postala nepogrešljiv del vseh ravni izobraževanja. Kratkoročno si prizadevamo za ustvarjanje delovnih pogojev, v katerih bi organizacije s področja sodobne umetnosti lahko kontinuirano, predvsem pa kakovostno in v dialogu s pedagoško stroko razvijale, preizkušale in nadgrajevale svojo vzgojnoizobraževalno dejavnost.
Projekt je trajal od oktobra 2018 do konca leta 2019.

With the project S(v)odobnost five organizations from various fields of contemporary art developed cultural and artistic education programes aimed at young people between the ages of 14 to 20. Through this project the participating organizations also offered support to educators and teaching staff who wish to bring their students closer to contemporary arts practices and the spaces in which these can be experienced.
We are convinced that the contemporary arts broaden horizons and foster creative expression of young people, as well as provide teachers with a range of fresh approaches to addressing pressing social issues – both inside and outside the classroom.
Our desire is for young people to be able to encounter contemporary arts on a regular basis, which is why, within the frame of the project S(v)odobnost and in the longterm, we endeavor to make art education an indispensible part of all levels of education. In the short term, we aim to create working conditions in which organizations in the fields of contemporary art can continuously, and above all thoroughly and in dialogue with pedagogues, develop, test, and upgrade their educational activity.
